INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
This website allows you to request information from Acxiom, register for special offers, seminars or demonstrations, participate in surveys and contests, download thought leadership papers, and subscribe to some of Acxiom’s products and services. In order to support these activities, Acxiom will ask for information about you (such as your name, email address and other demographic information) and the company for whom you work. Acxiom may also ask you for your contact information in order to complete a service or request. The information you provide will be used to support your relationship with Acxiom.
To fulfill a particular request, the information you provide may be shared within the Acxiom Corporation family of businesses. It may also be used by us to make this site easier for you to use and to inform you of services and product updates, new products and other related information from Acxiom.
This web site also contains links to other sites. Please be aware that Acxiom is not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites. We encourage you when you leave this site to read the privacy statements of these other sites.
Use by Third Parties
Acxiom may provide aggregated information, such as the number of visitors to the site or the results of a survey, with our partners and third parties to develop suggestions to improve our website accessibility and the services provided on the site. Aggregated data is not linked to any personally identifiable information.
Acxiom may use contractors and other service providers to help us deliver content and fulfill requests made at this site. However, in these instances, the information you have provided remains the property of Acxiom Corporation.
In addition, we reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our website.
Technologies
Acxiom uses technologies to help us understand which parts of our websites are most visited and understand traffic patterns between pages on www.acxiomdigital.com.
Clear Gifs (Web Beacons/Web Bugs): We employ a software technology called clear gifs (a.k.a. Web Beacons/Web Bugs), that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user’s computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence. We may tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.
Cookies: This site uses cookies for the sole purpose of tailoring web content to match your browser capability. These cookies do not store or are linked to any personally identifiable information. Acxiom uses third party cookies to count the amount of visitors to particular pages as well as navigation between web pages on www.acxiomdigital.com. You can set your Internet browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. If you reject the cookie, you may still use this site. The only drawback is that you may be limited in the functionality of some areas. For more information about cookies, visit How Cookies Work.
Sensors: In order to determine your ability to receive HTML-based email messages, Acxiom may include a coded sensor in its HTML-based email messages. The sensor activates when the email message is opened and flags the email address of the recipient as one that is capable of receiving HTML-based email messages. This capability helps us to send the email in a format you can read, to allow us to track the aggregate number of emails read and to measure in aggregate if any of the links in the email were accessed. No other information is collected or used by the sensor. If the recipient cannot receive HTML, the recipient will not receive a functioning sensor.
Log Files: We use IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in improving the site. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
